Documentation
The documentation supplied with the software is good. Besides a User’s Guide and an Administrator’s Guide, an online help system is included with the software. The documentation is easy to understand and is well written. The User’s Guide has been created in such a manner that it takes the user through a step-by step process of populating the necessary data tables and creating a schedule. The online help incorporates most of the User’s
Guide into an easy-to-use point and click format. The Administrator’s Guide is also well written and includes technical information on installation, configuration, user maintenance, and export/import; and it complements the information presented in the User’s Guide. The manuals include comprehensive tables of contents, indexes, and appendices with supplementary information including error messages, table structures and a glossary.
Ease of Installation
We have used TESS under Windows 3.11 and Windows 95 environments. TESS is also available for Windows NT.
